Hey Jeff, The new course is a 3.0, I believe. They spent a couple weeks trying out new paths and measuring the length with the wheel and GPS's, so I'm guessing they got it accurately.
The actual course starts about halfway between the main pavillion and the turn to the mile mark. From there you do the normal start to the horse trail/gravel path, which you follow going right. You follow that trail towards the road and turn right towards the circle drive. Round the circle drive and follow the original finish up until the entrance of the old thousand loop. That's 1.5 miles and you do the loop above another time, where you finish at the same place you started.
Team won Hinsdale, showing Nequa how strong Palatine is! Hope you're having a good time at college,
E. Bethke

New Trier's Tommy King, Prospect's Brooke Wolfe, and York's Jack Driggs all made positive comments about the course in the press after the Palatine Invite.
